Your identity is You. Whether it is Core, Given or Chosen
Your identity is You. Whether it is Core, Given or Chosen

Your identity is like your signature dish at an event- it's unique, it's memorable, and it tells everyone something about you.

But unlike your signature dish, your identity is not something you can just whip up in the kitchen. It's a combination of your core, given, and chosen traits, and it's something you should own with pride!

Here are some identity ingredients.

First up, we have your core identity. This is the stuff that's hardwired into your DNA - your race, ethnicity, and gender. It's what makes you who you are from the inside out. You can't change it, but you can embrace it and use it to your advantage.

Are you a woman of color? Own it!

Use your unique perspective and experience to make your voice heard in a world that's often dominated by white men.

Next, we have your given identity. This is what you were born with but that's not necessarily encoded in your genes.

It's your name, your family background, and your upbringing. These things may not be entirely in your control, but you can still own them.

If you come from a humble background, don't be ashamed of it.

Let it be a source of inspiration and motivation to work hard and achieve your dreams.

Finally, we have your chosen identity. This, you get to pick and choose. It could range from your hobbies, your interests to your beliefs. This is where you get to really own your identity and show the world who you are.

Do you love cosplay? Embrace it!

Do you believe in a cause? Get involved!

Volunteer your time and use your platform to raise awareness.

At the end of the day, your identity is you.

It's what makes you unique, special, and worthy of respect.

So don't be afraid to define it and own it.

Whether you're a proud black woman, or a die-hard Star Wars fan, be true to yourself and let your identity shine!

And remember, just like your signature dish, your identity may not be everyone's cup of tea.

But that's okay! The world would be pretty boring if we were all the same. So embrace your identity, own it with pride, and keep on being you.
